Soul City Arts delivered the regular Soul Fire Sundays where visual artists were hosted to paint along with food being served. We created this series of films where we ask them all the same question: ‘What is the value of art in their lives and the world today”. Through these films we wish to strip things right back – Why are the arts not valued enough? Why are the arts often perceived as just ‘entertainment’ or a bolt on activity? How can art be positioned as a vital part of society’s growth?
Soul City Arts aims to bring these questions to the forefront in an accessible way.
