Soul Fire Sunday - 6th April 2025 12pm - 5pm

Soul Fire Sundays is our regular live-art, food and music event.

At the heart of the event are our visual artists, who take centre stage painting live throughout the day. Three guest artists, Wocco, Faunagraphic and Void One paint art onto canvas until the end of the session. You are welcome to engage with the artists as their art evolves.

Every event we have a special guest vendor selling their food. This session we are excited to have Meat & Eat selling their signature brisket.

We have our regular DJ spinning live DJ’d soundscapes playing chill vibes that will take you back in time.

We also have our regular graffiti-artists guiding you on a workshop to create your own canvas to take-away.

WHO ARE MEAT & EAT SMOKEHOUSE?

Dawud and his brothers, Kaz and Raheem, first launched Meat & Eat, their family-run smokehouse in Wolverhampton, bringing years of hard work and expertise to create what is now known as one of the best smokehouses in the country. Famous for their tender brisket, they have built a loyal following.

They run their restaurant in Wolverhampton, but now also have a trailer at the outdoor food court ‘A38 – Last Exit’.

Soul City Arts has previously invited then to the Ramadan Streets Night Market and now continues to build with them by having them at Soul Fire Sundays.

We are excited to bring Meat & Eat into our Port Hope warehouse for the first time. Enjoy the live-art from our guest artists whilst enjoying some smoked brisket from the brothers. Their food will be available for purchase from 12pm-5pm.

WOCCO

Hailing from England’s south coast, Wocco is a professional illustrator specialising in editorial illustration, concept design and storyboarding. His dark and fantastical images set him apart from his contemporaries, creating scenes which yield more and more as the viewer scratches their inky surface and enters the weird and wonderful world beneath.

As a music producer and graphic designer, Void One has more recently spearheaded work in Augmented Reality, finding new and invigorating ways to bring his work alive and to engage with tech-savvy audiences.

FAUNAGRAPHIC

Recognised internationally for her environmentally driven murals, Faunagraphic brings her beautiful and vibrant images of all creatures great and small to urban centres, highlighting the importance of the natural world. When not brightening up our streets she can be found in her studio creating canvasses with spray paint and mixed media.
