23 SEPTEMBER 2017 – 7 JANUARY 2018
Soul City Arts Presents a major new exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (UK)
EXHIBITION: FREE ENTRY
Birmingham is home to hundreds of Indian restaurants, but most are unaware that it was the Bangladeshi community that pioneered ‘Curry Culture’ in Britain.
The Knights of the Raj exhibition captures the untold stories of those pioneers, tracing the origins of the Birmingham curry trade back to the 1940’s. The exhibition features rare photographs, unique artefacts, videos, interactive displays and oral histories that tell the fascinating story of the much-loved British Curry.
A Special Bonus event is planned for the Launch:
22 SEPTEMBER 2017 | 7.00pm
